Compsognathus Skull Plaque. Compsognathus, a theropod, lived during the Jurassic about 150 MYA. Compsognathus name means "Elegant or Refined Jaw". Well preserved skeletons have been found in Germany and France. They both had small, agile lizards preserved in their stomach (We know what they ate!). Until 1990, they were the smallest known dinosaur about the size of a turkey. Plaque length: 11 cm.
